Events for Fall ‘25: Discover our workshops and experiences for a creative getaway.
November 2nd, 2pm
Seeds & Stories, Holiday Edition
The first Seeds & Stories in September was a great success, so it’s back for the holidays. This cross-genre creative pop-up gives writers a place, a nudge, and in this case, gorgeous holiday blooms, to take up their pencils and tell a story. We believe stories make us human. Even the fast, sloppy, outrageous ones. And Sunday, Nov 2nd, we’re going to gather at the farm and kick off the season by starting a few.
The theme is FALL BACK. Collecting seeds. Celebrating the harvest. Waiting. Planning. Resting. You will write to a series of prompts that you can answer in any way. We’ll do a seed-saving workshop to get your mind going. Then share for some non-critical, non-technical feedback.
October 25th & 26th
Come Glamp with Us and Join in the Fall Wildflower seeding!
Enjoy our Famous Field Dinner
Fall is the most glorious time to stay on the farm. We’ve developed 4 beautiful raised deck glamping sites to sleep under the stars and unwind.
In addition to catching fireflies and joining fall wildflower seeding walks on the farm, the experience includes a sunset catered farm dinner, a beloved tradition for our friends over many years. Our alfresco field dinners bring a whole new level of the farm at the close of the season.
Each luxe tent includes a queen mattress over-plumped with cozy blankets and comforters, an antique dresser and a tent heater if the weather turns cold. Our Trail Barn, across from the glamping site, has all the amenities for inclimate weather or a gathering space when it’s time for indoor activities.
Arrive Saturday at noon and depart at 3pm on Sunday.
October 18th, 12-10pm
Salt, Smoke and Sound Festival
Flower Cart and Wreath Making
We’re joining the fun for this “unforgettable day of music and food at Blackwood Farm Park, outside of Chapel Hill. Salt & Smoke & Sound is an immersive all day outdoor festival focused on the finest regional music and food.”
We’re adding our flower cart of bouquets brimming with late season colors to the tasty mix! We’ll be doing custom wreath making on site with customers all day with lots of farm-grown herbs and dried flowers.
September 28th, 3-5pm
Seeds & Stories Workshop
This cross-genre creative pop-up gives writers a place, a nudge, and in this case, gorgeous flowers, to take up their pencils and tell a story. We believe stories make us human. Even the fast, sloppy, outrageous ones. And Sunday, September 28th, we’re going to gather at the farm and start a few.
The theme is GERMINATION. Sowing seeds. Water & oxygen. Waiting. Nurturing. Starting again. You can answer the prompt in any way—a bit of a story, a wild-ass poem, a character sketch, song lyrics. Then share for some non-critical, non-technical feedback.
